Enthusiasm

Today's prompt: “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” is a great line from Emerson. If there’s no enthusiasm in what you do, it won’t be remarkable and certainly won’t connect with people on an emotional basis. But, if you put that magic energy into all of your work, you can create something that touches people on a deeper level. How can you bring MORE enthusiasm into your work? What do you have to think or believe about your work to be totally excited about it? Answer it now.

One of my all-time favorite quotes is from Colette “You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm.”

Just this weekend a friend described me as someone who does everything I do “balls to the wall”.

I don’t just decide to maybe dabble in writing, I WRITE and WRITE and WRITE. I make project plans and give myself deadlines. I research agents.

I rarely, if ever, phone it in. If I am going to do it half-assed or not at all, I’d rather do it not at all. That’s why my house gets messy. I’d rather it were all a mess or all clean.

How could I bring MORE enthusiasm? Um…. Yeah, I’m drawing a blank.
